  • ATBU Hub Introduces Tech UpSKill Program Orientation

As a preparatory step for the upcoming Tech UpSkill program, designed to equip students with the knowledge and resources needed to maximize their participation, Mr. Usman Liasu, ATBU Opolo hub manager, recently organized an orientation event aimed at familiarizing first-year Computer Science students with our innovation hub.

The primary objectives of the orientation were to introduce students to the facilities and resources available at the Opolo Global Innovation Hub, provide an overview of the Tech UpSkill program and its objectives, and encourage students to actively participate and engage in the upcoming program. The event began with a warm welcome and an overview of the hub’s mission, vision, and the various opportunities available for students.

An in-depth presentation on the Tech UpSkill program followed, covering the program’s objectives and the benefits for participating students. The schedule and activities of the program, including workshops, seminars, and hands-on projects, were detailed, and participation guidelines were provided, explaining how students can enroll and what is expected of them during the program.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify any doubts about the hub and the BOI Impact Program. This session was highly interactive, with many students expressing their enthusiasm and eagerness to participate.

Feedback collected from students indicated a high level of satisfaction with the orientation. They appreciated the detailed tour and the clear explanations provided about the program. Students now feel better prepared and informed about the upcoming Tech UpSkill program, ensuring a higher level of participation and engagement.

The orientation event was a success, achieving its goal of acquainting first-year Computer Science students with the Opolo Global Innovation Hub and preparing them for the BOI Impact Program. We look forward to seeing these students thrive and make the most of the opportunities available to them.
