The NATIONAL IFETEDO STUDENT UNION in Ifetedo recently hosted an impactful kick-off event for the Code and Canva Program at the UNIOSUN Law Campus. The event, organized by Opolo Global Innovation Limited (Innovation center, Ifetedo) was designed to introduce students to coding and graphic design skills. It set the foundation for a series of workshops and training sessions, providing a comprehensive overview of the program and sparking enthusiasm among participants.

The event was carefully planned to meet several key objectives such as familiarizing students with the Code and Canva Program and detailing its purpose and benefits. Additionally, it outlined the program’s structure, schedule, and available resources to encourage active participation and ensure students were well-prepared for the upcoming sessions.

The event began with a warm welcome from Adepoju Adeboye Hub Manager Ifetedo Innovation Hub, who introduced Opolo Global Innovation Limited and its mission to support digital skills development. The introduction highlighted the importance of coding and graphic design in today’s digital landscape and the value of the Code and Canva Program in equipping students with practical, market-relevant skills.

Following the opening remarks, attendees received a detailed presentation on the Code and Canva Program. This included an overview of the curriculum, which covered coding workshops, design sessions, and hands-on projects. Students were introduced to the various tools and platforms that would be used throughout the program, including coding environments and Canva for design work. The presentation also outlined the schedule of activities, key milestones, and the support available to participants.

This session gave room for open dialogue and addressing specific concerns or queries from attendees. The engagement was lively, with many students expressing eagerness to start the program and enthusiasm for the learning opportunities it presented.

To give participants a practical preview of what to expect, the event featured hands-on demonstrations of coding and design activities. Students had the opportunity to interact with the tools and platforms they would be using, and also gained an initial understanding of their functionalities. These demonstrations were well-received, with attendees actively engaging and showing a keen interest in applying the skills they had just learned.

Opolo Global Innovation Limited looks forward to the continued success of the Code and Canva Program and remains committed to supporting students throughout their learning journey.
