Opolo Global Innovation, in collaboration with Thread of Change Africa and with the support of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (Lagos SUBEB), proudly launched DigiVerve 1.0—an ambitious initiative aimed at enhancing the STEM capabilities and prospects of secondary school students across Lagos State.
The official launch event, hosted at Obele Community High School, was dedicated to educating students on the importance of acquiring digital skills early on. Themed “Digital Literacy & Tech Innovation,” the event left a profound impact on the students, helping them identify and pursue their desired career paths within the tech industry. Opolo Global Innovation’s commitment to this cause was evident throughout the event, as they actively engaged with the students and shared their vision for a tech-empowered future.
DigiVerve 1.0 featured expert-led sessions covering areas such as coding, design, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and product development. Each student was paired with a mentor to provide personalized guidance and support as they navigate their tech career journey. This mentorship program, driven by Opolo Global Innovation, ensures that students receive the necessary support to thrive in the competitive tech landscape.
In line with its mission to empower the next generation, Opolo Global Innovation aims to continue this initiative, targeting to equip 1,200 students with essential tech skills in Lagos State over the coming months. This ambitious goal underscores Opolo Global’s unwavering commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of innovation and technological proficiency among students.
